Ammaroo Project Overview

Verdant Minerals’ Ammaroo Phosphate Project is a long-life open-pit phosphate development located in the Barkly region of the Northern Territory. Designed to produce export-grade phosphate rock concentrate, Ammaroo will supply global fertiliser markets and lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery supply chains, critical to food security and energy transitions.

It also holds more than 1 billion tonnes of phosphate rock, making it the largest JORC-compliant phosphate resource in Australia and one of the biggest undeveloped phosphate deposits in the world.

With its strategic position and access to major infrastructure, Ammaroo is Australia’s most advanced phosphate project, combining environmental stewardship, cultural respect, and economic opportunity.
